Mill Race Marathon Info

You’ve probably heard of a big race this weekend in Columbus! Whether you’re running or trying to avoid roads closed around town, here’s some info to help you get through the weekend.

-10a-8p: Packet pickup for the Kids Fun Run and all Saturday races at the Healths Expo @ the Commons. (Kids Fun Run Packets must be picked up by 4p)

-6p: Kids Fun run @ Mill Race Park


-5:30-6:30a: Packet pickup @ the Commons

-6:45a: Gear check @ the Commons

-7a: Opening ceremonies

-7:30: Start Full and 1/2 marathons

-7:50: Start 5K

-9a: Start of Finish on 4th after party


Runners can choose from three parking garages and a number of surface lots, each located within 3 blocks of the start, finish, rest & recovery areas. There is no charge for parking. YOU MUST HAVE A PARKING PASS IF YOU’RE PARKING IN THE GARAGES. These can be picked up at the commons on Friday afternoon.

Street Parking is FREE. The City of Columbus does not have parking meters.

There is also a free shuttle service running from the Walmart parking lot on race day from 6:30 am until 4:00 pm. The lot is located at 2025 Merchant Mile, Columbus, IN 47201.

Note: Vehicles will be towed if parked in a No Parking area. 

Finish on 4th After Party:

-9:30a: 5k awards and bike giveaway (must be present to win)

-11:30a: Half and full marathon awards ceremony

-4p: Truck give-away (Must be present to win)

Finish strong, then celebrate! Just one block from the Finish Line, the Mill Race Marathon ALL DAY After Party will be underway starting at 9:00AM and ending after the truck giveaway! Last year’s party featured over 25 food and craft booths, four bands on our main stage and a huge beer garden. Join us for the fun this year!


-Parking passes must be picked up during the Health Expo on Friday @ the Commons

-Someone else CAN pickup your packet. They must have a copy of your ID and a note (like an email)

-All finishers will receive a medal.
