Today’s What’s Going On Indiana Country story comes from Shelby County, a 10 year old boy named Hyatt Watson turned his fear of haircuts into a good cause.
Hyatt has been growing his hair out since Kindergarten. When he felt it was time to cut off 20 inches of his hair he made the choice to donate it!
After he decided to part with his long locks, his grandma made the suggestion that he turn this into a fundraiser. He set a $2,000 month long goal but reached $2,116 in just THREE short days!
Hyatt’s time in the barber chair came on Thursday last week and after cutting off SIX ponytails worth of hair, he was able to donate it to Wigs for Kids and the money will go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
