Eric Church Pays Tribute To Alan Jackson While Lainey Wilson Has Big Night At ACM Honors 2024

ACM Honors 2024 aired on Tuesday (September 24), after taking place back on August 21 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Eric Church’s soulful reworking of the Alan Jackson classic, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow,” was a standout of the ceremony. Church paid tribute to Jackson, who was honored with ACM Poet’s Award for his songwriting. Lainey Wilson received two of the night’s biggest honors, taking home ACM Milestone Award for her career accomplishments and the coveted Triple Crown Award, which is only presented to artists who have won ACM Entertainer of the Year, New Artist, and Artist (Male, Female, Duo or Group) categories.

Trisha Yearwood was presented with an ACM Icon award, with Emmylou Harris and Lauren Alaina honoring her by dueting on Yearwood’s “A Song Remembers When.” Vince Gill and Ashley McBryde did a duet of Gill’s 1989 hit, “When I Call Your Name” to pay tribute to the other ACM Icon recipient, producer Tony Brown. While Jason Aldean covered Luke Bryan’s hit, “Someone Else Calling You Baby,” to honor Bryan for his ACM Lifting Lives Award. (People)
