‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Earns $110 Million In Huge Opening Weekend

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 hit film, grossed $110 million domestically in its opening weekend — the second-highest September opening in history. Globally, it’s already earned $145.4 million (it cost about $100 million to produce). Deadpool & Wolverine landed in second place with $7.2 million for its seventh week, currently ranking as the second-highest-grossing movie of the year and 23rd all-time with a total take of $1.287 billion globally. The Dennis Quaid-led biopic Reagan ($5.2 million) and holdovers Alien: Romulus ($3.9 million) and It Ends With Us ($3.7 million) rounded out the weekend’s top earnings. (Variety)
