Tennessee has declared Brenda Lee’s classic “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” the state’s official holiday song. The singer was honored during a ceremony at the Capitol. “This is a wonderful, wonderful honor,” she said.
Bill Maher says he may quit his HBO show Real Time because he’s tired of talking about Donald Trump, and would struggle with changing the political theme of the show. Despite this, he has already renewed his contract with HBO.
Marlon Wayans will guest star on the CBS comedy Poppa’s House alongside his brother Damon Wayans and his nephew Damon Wayans Jr. He’ll portray Melvin, Poppa’s brother, in an episode scheduled for February 2025.
T.R. Knight returns to Broadway in Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a play based on the Netflix series. Set in Hawkins before the events of the show, it follows young Jim Hopper and introduces new student Henry Creel.
Netflix plans a comedy feature named Little Brother starring John Cena and Eric Andre. The story centers on a real estate agent whose life is disrupted when his quirky “little brother” resurfaces. The project is in its early stages.
Beyoncé’s video for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” reaches over 1 billion views on YouTube, following “Halo” as her second video to achieve this milestone. She was also recognized as Billboard’s top pop star of the 21st century.
Jeff Corwin will host Extraordinary World, a new show on CBS and Paramount+ debuting Jan. 4. It highlights people making a difference in animal advocacy, wildlife conservation, youth empowerment, and food insecurity aid.
