Sony Pictures Entertainment has acquired Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, marking the first time a Hollywood studio has owned a movie theater in over 75 years. All 35 of its cinemas across 25 metros will continue to operate.

Adventure Time is being developed into a new movie and two series. Side Quests will follow a young Finn dreaming of adventures with Jake the Dog. The other is Heyo BMO, a preschool series starring video game console BMO.

George R.R. Martin confirms the revival of the Ten Thousand Ships TV spinoff pilot, with playwright Eboni Booth now working on the script. The Game of Thrones spinoff focuses on the characters Nymeria and the Rhoynar.

NBA legend Jerry West, known as one of the greatest players and executives in the league’s history, has passed away at 86. West was a prolific player for the Los Angeles Lakers and is honored with his silhouette as the NBA’s logo.

Martin Shkreli faces a lawsuit for allegedly retaining and sharing digital copies of the rare Wu-Tang Clan album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. He bought the album in 2015, and may have violated terms by keeping digital files.

Amber Portwood is worried after her fiancé Gary Wayt went missing. The couple had traveled to North Carolina for a family wedding but had an emotional conversation on June 9th, after which Gary left without his cell phone.
