Bartholomew hosting POW/MIA ceremonies at memorial

Bartholomew County will be recognizing POW/MIA Recognition day on Friday, Sept. 20th with ceremonies at the county’s veterans memorial on the courthouse lawn.

Bartholomew County Commissioners approved the event at their meeting Monday.

This year’s event will include a guest speaker, Pat Downs McClintic whose husband was killed in Vietnam in 1966. There will also be a reading of the names of each of the 55 prisoners of war and veterans missing in action from Bartholomew County, a rifle volley by the American Legion Post 24 color guard and musical performances.

It will start at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 20th and you are invited to attend.
