Downtown Columbus to be Not So Silent Thursday night

Downtown Columbus merchants and non profits will be taking part in an annual Not so Silent Night event Thursday evening, with extra hours, entertainment, food and activities to get people shopping downtown.

The event organized by Downtown Columbus and Swine and Dine will be going on from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening. You will be able to meet Santa and his reindeer at the Bartholomew County Historical Society, experience Victorian Christmas activities at the Heritage Fund, enjoy crafts and cocoa at the Bartholomew County Public Library and the Commons will offer a Santa Hut for games and prizes.

Xenia Miller’s crèche collection will be on display at the visitors center where you can also get free kettle corn. Kidscommons will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at half price and there will be tents outside the museum offering carolers, hair tinsel and ornament making.
