Kampout set to benefit Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund
It is a good time to help out the Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund this weekend.
White River Broadcasting’s annual Kampout for Kids toy drive is going at Columbus Fire Station 1. Indiana Country 101.5 WKKG will be there until 7 tonight and again from 6 to 3 on Saturday to take your donations of unwrapped toys or cash.
Columbus firefighters are also holding their annual chili cookoff fundraiser tonight. That will be a drive-thru event at the fire station from 5 to 8 this evening. A free will donation will benefit the cheer fund, Bartholomew County’s longest operating charity, providing Christmas gifts to kids in need.
Fire Station 1 is at the corner of Washington and 10th Streets.
