Sheriff encouraging food donations Saturday at Kroger

Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers will be at the Columbus Kroger store on National Road this Saturday and next, encouraging you do donate non-perishable food items to help feed the hungry.

The sheriff’s department is holding its fifth annual Pack-A-Patrol-Car food drive through Nov. 15th. Donated food will be given to Love Chapel and Salvation Army food pantries.

The sheriff will be at Kroger from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19th and 26th.

Collection boxes are set up in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Department offices on Second Street in Columbus. Containers will also be set up in the Bartholomew County Courthouse and the County Governmental Office Building on at Third and Franklin streets.
