A Columbus robbery suspect has been arrested, accused of hitting the same Taylorsville store he was accused of stealing from four years ago.
According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the scene on North U.S. 31 at 6:24 a.m. in the morning yesterday. Witnesses said a man told a clerk at the Shell station that he had a gun in his coat pocket during the robbery and then left. Security cameras revealed that the man left in what police say was an easily identifiable vehicle.
The vehicle was soon found parked at a nearby mobile home park. Inside the home, police found the suspect, 25 year-old Kobe T. Harmeson. He was taken into custody and a search revealed he was carrying drugs including marijuana, methamphetamine and a controlled substance.
Harmeson is facing charges of robbery, intimidation and for possessing the drugs.
Authorities say that Harmeson was arrested in March of 2020 on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief in an incident at the same store.
