CBS To Rebroadcast Billy Joel Concert After ‘Piano Man’ Debacle
CBS announced it will re-broadcast Billy Joel: The 100th – Live At Madison Square Garden after parts of Sunday night’s concert special were cut off during the performance of his signature song “Piano Man.” The broadcast ended two minutes early in the Eastern and Central Time Zone — after starting a half-hour behind schedule following a broadcast of the Masters Tournament that went late. CBS made a statement that apologized to Mr. Joel, his fans and audiences for the interruption, and is rebroadcasting the entire episode at 9:00PM ET/PT on Friday. Joel’s concert, filmed on March 28th at Madison Square Garden, commemorates his 100th (and final) residency show at the venue.
